THE HEALING ART OF HAND STITCH

It's my joy and pleasure to introduce my newest baby - The Healing Art of Hand Stitch. The book is filled with my personal stories, as well as the stories of marganilized women spannig cultures and life styles. It's been almost 5 months of writing, editing and rewriting. The images came easy - the stories, not so much, I am not a writer ... I am a visual artist. But my hope is that the stories resinate with my readers, both to inform, but more imporantly, to inspire. I am amazed at the resilience of women to survive in life's most difficult circumstances. And I am blessed that women have been willing to share their struggles with me as an artist and friend.

One of my heroes of textile Art is Bobbi Baugh. Her work and sharing of how to has inspired my own work and thoughts on art. She is also faithful to put out a blog ebery Sunday evening to share her week's work and ongoing creations. It is my goal to create a similar blog for me to not only inspire others to tell their stories, but to give out the wealth of tools I've gather over almost 26 years.
